DESCRIPTION:Together\, we will explore how experiences of maritime (refuge
 e) migration are (or can be) brought to light\, and what opportunities tra
 nsdisciplinary collaboration opens up. The focus is on the intersections o
 f cinematic\, photographic\, and scholarly approaches that highlight diffe
 rent forms of storytelling and research.\n\nThe event includes a screening
  of “When the Water Horse Seeks a New Home\,” which addresses the flig
 ht of the Rohingya\, as well as a documentary report from a research trip 
 to Lampedusa. Taking these two maritime border regions—the Andaman Sea a
 nd the Mediterranean—as a starting point\, artists and scholars will the
 n discuss the perspectives\, challenges\, and responsibilities involved in
